A stitched gift is only a gift if it is finished before the 25th, and the people who get that right start in early November. By December your machine is booked solid, your thread supplier is out of red, and every design with fifteen colour changes starts to look like a bad idea.
So this guide leans small and fast. These five Christmas embroidery designs come from the top of our Christmas best-seller list, and three of them cost less than a dollar or come several to a file — which is exactly what you want when you are filling stockings, making ornaments or turning out a stack of matching jumpers. Every one is digitized in-house, stitch-tested, and ships as an instant download in 6 machine formats (DST, EXP, JEF, PES, VP3, XXX) with a free PDF color chart.
| Design | Best for | Sizes | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Anya Christmas | Ornaments and stockings | 3–3.6″ | $0.99 |
| Xmas Eevee | Kids’ jumpers and gift tags | 3.9″ | $0.99 |
| Gingerbread Man | The funniest gift | 4–7″ | $7.99 |
| Bundle 6 Grinch | Six designs for matching sets | 3.9″ each | $6.99 |
| Itadori Christmas | Anime fans on your list | 5.1–7.1″ | $4.99 |
The most-bought Christmas file in the shop is also the smallest. Anya Forger from Spy × Family, chibi-sized, pink hair and wide green eyes under a Santa hat that sits on top of her hair clips. At $0.99 it is priced like an impulse buy, and it is sized like one too: 3 and 3.6 inches.
That size decides where it goes. It is too small for a jumper front, and perfect for everything else Christmas is made of — a felt ornament, the cuff of a stocking, a gift tag, a sleeve, the corner of a tote. Stitch a dozen in an evening and you have a dozen presents.

Eevee sitting up in a Santa hat, with a red nose and that fluffy cream collar. It is the design we would put on a child’s jumper without a second thought, and at $0.99 it costs the same as Anya.
One size, 3.9 inches, which fits the chest of a kids’ sweatshirt and the front of a small bag. The brown-and-cream palette is gentle enough for a white or red garment and still shows on green.

A gingerbread man with a bite out of his leg, a Santa hat pulled over one eye and a candy cane beside a green sign that asks “Do you know the muffin man?” If you have seen Shrek, you are already smiling; if you have not, the person you give it to has.
Four sizes from 4 to 7 inches. The green board gives the lettering a solid background to sit on, so the text stays legible even at 4 inches on a textured sweatshirt. It is the design on this list most likely to become somebody’s favourite jumper.
✔ 4 sizes (4–7″) · 6 formats · PDF color chart · Get the Gingerbread Man — $7.99
Six separate Grinch designs in a single purchase: the “Don’t be a Grinch!” lettering, the scowling face in outline, his legs sticking up in striped stockings, the Grinch climbing out of a chimney, his head in a Santa hat, and the full standing figure. At $6.99 that is under $1.20 a design.
All six are 3.9 inches, which is the point: they are built to be used together. One per stocking for the whole family, a set of matching ornaments, or a different Grinch on each sleeve of the same jumper. It is the best-value file in this guide by a distance.

Yuji Itadori from Jujutsu Kaisen in a red Santa hood with white fur trim, set inside a framed panel. It is the Christmas design for the person on your list who would rather have an anime jumper than a reindeer one.
Three sizes from 5.1 to 7.1 inches, so it works as a proper chest design. The red frame and hood carry the festive part, and the rest of the design is his face — which means it still makes sense to wear in January. For more from the series, see our best Jujutsu Kaisen embroidery designs.

Gaara Christmas — $1.99, 3 to 5.8 inches. A chibi Gaara from Naruto dressed as Santa, dragging his sack behind him. Small, cheap and very hard not to like.
Santa Claus Moon — $3.99, 3.8 to 7.8 inches. Santa asleep on a golden crescent moon. The one to choose for a baby’s first Christmas or a bedroom cushion.
Tom and Jerry Christmas — $1.99, 4 to 10 inches. Tom in a Santa coat, Jerry in the pile of presents, and a “Ho! Ho! Ho!” above them. Goes all the way to 10 inches if you want a jumper back.
The full Christmas embroidery designs collection has 25 files.
Work backwards from the 25th. If you are shipping gifts, the last posting dates usually fall in the middle of December. That means your stitching has to be done in the first two weeks of the month, and your designs chosen now.
Use the small files for volume. Anya, Eevee and the Grinch bundle are all under 4 inches, which means short run times and small hoops. They are how you make twenty presents without giving up every evening of December.
Stitch ornaments on felt. Felt does not fray, so a design stitched on a double layer of felt can be cut out close to the edge and hung on the tree as it is. A tear-away or water-soluble stabilizer underneath keeps the small shapes crisp.
Mind the red on red. Santa hats and red jumpers are a classic combination, and a quiet trap: a red hat stitched on red fabric disappears. Check the PDF color chart before you choose the garment colour, and go for green, grey, cream or navy when the design leans red.

Cloud Designs is not a marketplace. Every file is digitized in-house by one designer and stitch-tested before release, and the five above come from the top of the Christmas collection’s best-seller list. Every download includes 6 formats (DST for Tajima, EXP for Melco, JEF for Janome, PES for Brother and Baby Lock, VP3 for Pfaff and Husqvarna Viking, XXX for Singer), several sizes and a free PDF color chart. And because Christmas shopping comes in batches, remember the permanent offer: buy 3 designs, get 1 free, applied automatically at checkout.
Early November. The download is instant, but your machine time is not, and anything you post needs to leave in the first half of December.
The ones under 4 inches: Anya Christmas, Xmas Eevee and the six designs in the Grinch bundle. Stitch them on a double layer of felt and cut around the edge.
Yes. Put four designs in your cart and the cheapest one is free automatically — no code needed.
All major home and commercial machines: every design ships in PES (Brother, Baby Lock), JEF (Janome), DST (Tajima), EXP (Melco), VP3 (Pfaff, Husqvarna Viking) and XXX (Singer). Not sure which one is yours? See our embroidery file formats guide.
